E2M Kitchen Gluten-Free Meals: My Honest Review
These prepared dishes are a lifesaver for when you don't want to cook.
Note: I received meals from E2M Kitchen for free in exchange for this post—but all opinions are my own.
If you know me, you know that I have love-hate relationship with cooking. Ever since my celiac diagnosis in March 2020, cooking has felt like this big burden. I used to order takeout and go out to restaurants multiple times a week—but due to my dietary restrictions, that’s no longer possible.
Cooking meals at home is essential if I want to manage my celiac disease and avoid getting sick—but it’s a lot of effort, and sometimes I’m too tired after a long day of work or simply am not in the mood to whip up a meal from scratch.
So, when I met the team behind E2M Kitchen at the Wicked Gluten-Free Expo in Massachusetts this past fall, I was excited. E2M Kitchen is a company that delivers pre-made, chef-created, gluten-free meals right to your door.
Keep reading for my honest review of E2M Kitchen’s gluten-free meals.
What Is E2M Kitchen?
E2M Kitchen originally began as a fitness program called Eager to Motivate Fitness Program. As part of that program, the company’s chefs created recipes for clients to help them transform their bodies.
The recipes were so popular, the company decided to produce the meals used in the program to help save customers time, reduce waste, and make it easy to eat healthy.
The meals are made for anyone at any stage in the fitness journey and aren’t necessarily intended for weight loss. Whether you want to reach specific health goals or just want to eat healthier, there’s something on the menu for you.
All of E2M Kitchen’s meals are gluten-free (they have a gluten-free certification through the Gluten-Free Food Program), dairy-free, and made in Charlotte, North Carolina. (Fun fact: E2M Kitchen is a veteran-owned company!)
How does E2M Kitchen work?
E2M Kitchen offers a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly subscription. The menu is updated every Monday, and you can go in any time from Monday through Thursday during your order week to make your selections.

E2M Kitchen gluten-free meals: my review
I chose seven meals to test out for this review and sent my order to E2M Kitchen’s team. The meals I chose were:
Cilantro Lime Salmon
Beef Burrito Bowl
Garlic Chicken & Mushroom
Peanut Beef & Zoodles
Lemon Garlic Shrimp
Egg White & Avocado Scramble
Lemon Pepper Salmon & Red Potatoes
The meals arrived at my doorstep securely packaged. Each meal comes vacuum-sealed for maximum freshness and can last up to seven days in the refrigerator. I popped the meals in the freezer to last longer and thawed them in the fridge the night before I planned on eating them.
I microwaved each meal (they heat up in two to three minutes), but there are instructions for heating things up in the oven and on the stovetop as well. The microwave was perfect for me, though, because my goal was to minimize my cooking-related stress as much as possible.
I split the meals with my partner, and my favorites were the Peanut Beef & Zoodles and Garlic Chicken & Mushroom, while he was a fan of the Lemon Garlic Shrimp—although we liked everything we tried!
I’ve found prepared meals can sometimes be a bit bland or under-seasoned but didn’t run into that issue here—everything tasted very fresh and flavorful. Plus, the meals had good texture—no mushiness here.
Additionally, the meals were all pretty filling. I did sometimes add a little something extra—for example, I served the Garlic Chicken & Mushroom with leftover wild rice for an even more substantial post-workout dinner one night (what can I say, I like my carbs).
So, would I try E2M Kitchen again? Absolutely. The meals were tasty and so easy to prepare—you really can’t beat the convenience of popping food into the microwave and not having to think about cooking.
I enjoyed my meals at home for lunch and dinner, but I could totally see these being a great in-office lunch option too if you work in an office and are tired of eating boring salads every day.

People are always asking me which service to use and I've never found a safe one- thanks for the review Christina!
Interesting! Never heard of a celiac safe male delivery service but this sounds potentially great for travel to visit family for longer periods.
