Gluten-Free Grab Bag: Spring 2026 Edition
Find out what's new in the celiac world this season.
I recently got home from my first ever solo international trip. I went to Stockholm and it was amazing! I ate so many delicious gluten-free pastries and got to check out some really cool museums.
I’ll do a full rundown of everywhere I ate/went in Stockholm soon, and I’m also going to put together a guide to solo travel tips. I didn’t know if I would like traveling alone, but I actually loved it and want to do it again, so I’ll share what worked for me.
Now that I’m back, I’m here to catch you up and what’s going on in the celiac world this spring. It’s a busy time for the community since May is Celiac Awareness Month.
Ahead, I’m delving into upcoming events, products I can’t wait to try, and links to my latest writing + most popular posts.

Upcoming celiac and gluten-free events
The Celiac Disease Foundation is hosting Celiac Awareness Night at Citi Field on Friday, May 29. I’ll be there to root on The Mets, eat delicious gluten-free food at the ballpark, and connect with fellow celiacs in NYC!
Buy tickets here. If you’re going, let me know as I’ll be coordinating a meetup at the gluten-free food stand.
Beyond Celiac is also hosting a few Celiac Awareness Day games at baseball stadiums across the country this month. Upcoming games include:
May 8: Philadelphia
May 16: Denver
May 16: Washington, DC
May 16: Minneapolis
May 22: Allentown
Buy tickets to these games here.
Additionally, the Evening Beyond Celiac gala is happening on June 3 in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. This year’s event will honor Alice Bast, Beyond Celiac’s founder, and Alan Ehrlich, M.D., family medicine doctor and board chair for the organization.
Bonus: All of the food at the event is gluten-free. Buy tickets here.
Gluten-free products I’m excited about
While I was in Stockholm, I picked up a few European Schär products at Hemköp, one of the local grocery stores.
I grabbed the Bake at Home Trio Three-Seed Rolls, Rosemary & Salt Crispbread, and Piruett Chocolate Flavour Cookies. I haven’t seen these in the US, so I wanted to get them while I could.
I also visited Grained, a gluten-free store in Stockholm, which was so much fun. I bought a bunch of cool international gluten-free products while I was there.
The ones I’m most excited about are the OhAh! Gluten-Free Pizza & Focaccia Baking Mix, Gustosa Buckwheat Fusilli, Wavy Wonders Seaweed & Seed Snacks, and Höganäs 70% Dark Chocolate.
I even signed up for their monthly subscription box so I can receive Scandinavian gluten-free products at home. They ship worldwide, and I’m officially their first US subscriber!
I’ll do a full review once I receive my first box later this month.

I recently started contributing to DiningOut.com as they just launched New York City food reviews.
Check out my pieces on the best gluten-free bakeries and cafes in NYC and the best matcha lattes in NYC.
In this newsletter, I wrote a piece on how going to a dietitian helped me get my eating habits back on track after a breakup last year.
I also wrote a guide to dealing with rosacea and would love to write more skincare content in this newsletter in the future. I’m a former beauty editor and miss reporting on this!
