When I started this newsletter, I didn’t know where it would lead, but it’s been so rewarding to work on it and to hear from many people in the celiac community who’ve found it helpful! So, ahead of the new year, I’ve rounded up my 10 most popular newsletters from 2024. I’m also sharing an update at the end of what’s on deck for 2025!
My most popular newsletter content of 2024
What’s next for Celiac Self-Care
I’m committed to keeping this newsletter free because I think it’s important for as many celiacs as possible to have access to my content. Do I believe I should be paid for my work? Absolutely! But there’s so much misinformation about celiac disease out there that I don’t want to gate my content from anyone who could benefit from reading it.
That said, I’ve decided to turn on paid subscriptions on January 1 for anyone who wants—and is financially able—to support my work here in that way. Free and paid subscribers will receive the exact same content and nothing will be paywalled.
I’ve had quite a few readers already pledge their support, and I’m so grateful to you! It’s incredibly validating to learn there are people out there who are willing to spend $5/month to read my work. Paid subscriptions to my newsletter allow me to dedicate the time and resources needed to produce the high-quality content I’ve been proud to share with you.
I’m in a unique position to write this newsletter—not only do I live with celiac disease but I’m a health reporter, editor, and content marketer with 15 years of professional experience.
Throughout my career, I’ve held full-time positions and contributed freelance assignments to some of the most respected publications in the US, including Women’s Health, Shape, PopSugar, Everyday Health, Parade, and AARP. I’m also an ambassador for Beyond Celiac, which is one of the most well-known celiac nonprofits in the country.
I know how to read medical studies and break down complex topics for the average person; I have access to the top celiac experts for interviews; and I stay on top of the latest trends and product releases thanks to my long-held relationships with publicists and brands. Quite frankly, you’re not getting this quality of celiac content from anyone else on the internet! My goal is to educate you so you can confidently navigate your celiac disease with less stress.
If you can pay to support my work, I’ll be super grateful to you, but if you can’t, I still want you to read my newsletter and encourage you to comment on my posts and share my newsletter with other celiacs in your life. You can also “buy me a coffee” (I have a button at the bottom of every newsletter) if you’d like to make a one-time financial contribution to support my writing.
Next year, you can expect to see more of the following:
Celiac and gluten-free myth-busting
Breakdowns of whether popular foods/ingredients are really gluten-free
How-tos for navigating different types of dining establishments with celiac disease
Guides to handling different social situations with celiac disease
General health and nutrition content
Q&As with notable members of the celiac, gluten-free, and chronic condition communities
Gluten-free travel roundups
Gluten-free trend and recipe roundups
Gluten-free product reviews
Additionally, let me know in the comments if there are any particular topics you want me to cover here in 2025. I have many ideas percolating, but I want to hear about what you’re interested in most as I put together my editorial calendar for next year, so drop a comment to let me know.
Your support means the world to me, and I look forward to sharing more helpful celiac content with you in 2025. Happy New Year!
Happy new year, Christina! Here's to great things ahead in 2025 ❤️
